This is a highly popular USC elective that tends to fill far in advance. Therefore, we encourage you to contact us at least 6 months ahead of the dates that you wish to rotate. Please do not hesitate to contact Gay Lewis Taylor, our clerkship coordinator, at any time, as there may be openings available and cancellations do occur. Please note that between July and November, we generally only accept students who will apply to our emergency medicine residency program. Furthermore, we do not allow students to rotate between June 15 and July 15, which is our residency transition period.
All students must provide separate applications to:
1. The USC Keck School of Medicine (KSOM) Student Affairs office: http://www.usc.edu/schools/medicine/school/offices/student_affairs.html
2. Our clerkship coordinator, Gay Lewis Taylor: gaylewistaylor@yahoo.com
You should provide Gay (by email or mail):
1. A passport-size photo
2. Answers to the following questions:
a. What dates are you available to rotate?
b. Are you considering a career in EM?
Students who wish to rotate between July and November must provide Gay with the following information:
If you have any questions, please contact Gay for more details.
