Research Opportunities
- The Department of Emergency Medicine at LAC+USC over the last two years has ranked 12th in publication rate among 124 EM training programs in the US, so if you're looking for a project, you've come to the right place.
- If you're not sure what research in EM is all about, pick up a journal (Annals of Emergency Medicine or Journal of Emergency Medicine) or, better yet, go to a conference to talk with current and local researchers and learn about the process.
- If you're ready to get involved with clinical research, you can find some opportunities listed on the department's website or you can e-mail Lorien Hatch, the DEM's project coordinator, at lhatch@usc.edu, to see what's currently available.
- Apply for the Medical Student Summer Research Fellowship ($1000-2000). Info can be found here. The application, due March 16, 2007, is found here
- An up-to-date list of current research opportunites will be available in the future.
